Fun and games on the boy's corridor

The  Wild  West Wing (otherwise known as the boys' corridor)

Following on from lunch with a list of three things to organise for their afternoon adventure: trunks on, towel, and pants in bag - it will not surprise many of you to learn that only three out of the nineteen boys bothered with the pants! A little encouragement put paid to the underwear issue momentarily and we left the boys' corridor with its silent yet pungent and unidentified odours to swelter in the afternoon sun while the boys excitedly chattered along the distant corridor boasting about the waves they were about to encounter and tame.

After an afternoon of surf, salt water and steely grit, the boys walked at speed back to Winchester House with the sole aim of  reaching the two showers available to attend to their dishevelled hair and sandy toes. Squeaky clean with hair fully styled to its former glory, cleanliness was fully restored in anticipation of a dinner and film date with the girls while the corridor once again sighs with relief as the boys head eagerly downstairs. Silence in the West Wing resumes.

As I (Mrs Pilfold) sit and write this blog, I revel in anticipation for the next room inspection. It might surprise mums to learn that this morning's inspection was a true marvel as every bed had been made  along to the ""tuc, tuc sweep"" song and we were greeted with a medley of  coordinated clothing hung tastefully and symmetrically. An array of  entertainment and laughter filled the morning air such as  a hilarious Monty Python Sketch from James, jokes by Joseph T and a juggling act from Corey.
Whatever will tomorrow bring?
